First blogged recipe
Posted by | Uncategorized | Posted on May 21st, 2006
I just ordered the materials for a batch of Rye IPA, which will be the
next all-grain batch that we work on. This is a slightly modified
recipe of one that we’ve done before that was EXTREMELY good. The
final product ended up a rich amber color, slightly sweet, with an
awesome hop character. The rye added a different flavor than I’ve
had before in an IPA … potentially a little of the sweetness and then
some great spicy flavors.
This is not a beer for those that don’t like hops.
All
in all, I think this is probably the best of any beer that I’ve had a
hand in making. Others have been good, but this one … well, if
you make it you can judge for yourself.

Here are a couple of picutres from the setup process of my kegerator at home.

It doesn’t look like Flickr and GoDaddy’s weblog stuff currently play
well together, so no direct feed for me… ah well. Getting this
set up was a lot easier than I’d imagined, and I’m very pleased with
the results… it’s a great thing to be able to come home from work and
have a draft beer without having to step foot out of the house again.
Trying things out…
